A Quiet Hookah Lounge in Koenji
Koenji is one of Tokyo's most beloved local neighborhoods - a place that locals call "Tokyo's deep cuts." KEMURIBA sits on the 5th floor of a building inside the covered Koenji PAL shopping arcade, just a 3-minute walk from JR Koenji Station's South Exit.
The vibe is "Koenji's living room": deep sofas, a shoes-off carpeted "grass" area, and a half-private 6-seat room. We host first-time visitors, locals, digital nomads, and international travelers every day.
Our manager Joseph speaks English and is happy to recommend flavors based on your taste - sweet, fruity, herbal, mint-forward, or bold dark leaf.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need a reservation?
A. Walk-ins are welcome. On Friday and Saturday nights it can get busy after 10 PM, so a reservation by phone or Instagram/X DM is recommended.
Q. Is there an age limit?
A. Yes. As a smoking establishment, guests must be 20 years or older to enter (Japanese law). Please bring photo ID if you look young.
Q. I've never tried shisha before. Is that okay?
A. Absolutely. Just tell our staff "It's my first time" and we'll recommend a beginner-friendly flavor mix and walk you through how to smoke it.
Q. Can we share one shisha pipe?
A. Yes. Sharing is welcome. Each additional person on the same pipe is +¥1,000 (share charge). Each guest also orders one drink (¥500+).
Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. Yes. We accept credit cards, PayPay, transit IC cards (Suica/PASMO etc.), and of course cash.
Q. Can I bring food in?
A. Yes! Outside food is welcome (snacks, takeout, pizza delivery, etc). Drinks must be ordered from our menu.
Q. Can I come just for a drink (no shisha)?
A. Absolutely. Cafe-only visits are very welcome — drop in for craft coffee, herbal tea, or a drink while you work, read, or wait for someone.
